A-State Opera Theatre – Mozart’s “Bastien und Bastienne”

April 27 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Drama Theatre

A-State Opera Theatre presents Mozart’s Bastien und Bastienne, written by the composer at a mere 12 years of age. The story is a simple comedic parody with only 3 characters: two young lovers experiencing quarrels seek help from an unlikely and magical character in order to restore their relationship. The unique and exciting feature of this A-State production is the double cast. Each cast will perform both nights. One cast is a traditional production and the other cast in a modernized version, showcasing just how timeless opera stories can be. Performances will include a live orchestra. Tickets are $10/general public, $5/A-State students and can be purchased at the A-State Box Office, 972-2781.
