Director of the Fowler Center Performing Arts Series

Tim Crist

Timothy Crist has been named Director of the Fowler Center Performing Arts Series. Crist presently holds a Professor of Music rank at Arkansas State University where he teaches composition, electronic music, theory, classical guitar, and conducts/directs the ASU New Music Ensemble and Guitar Ensemble. Crist received M.M. and D.M.A. degrees from the University of Georgia, Athens. He received his D.M.A. in Music Composition, an M.M. in Music Composition and Guitar Performance, a B.M. in Music Composition and Guitar Performance from University of Georgia, and an A.F.A. in Guitar Performance, Brevard College.

Barbara Pearson

Barbara earned a BS in Computer Information Systems from Arkansas State University. Her responsibilities at the Fowler Center include event scheduling, accounting and office management. She has worked at A-State since 1998.

Bradbury Art Museum Director & Fowler Center Director

Les Christensen

Les attended the University of Iowa, where she received a BFA in sculpture in 1982. She spent a year of graduate school at the Rijksuniversiteit te Utrecht in the Netherlands and then received an MA in sculpture from A-State in 1993. She taught various classes in the Department of Art in the 1990s before being named director of the Bradbury Art Museum in 2001.

Technical Director, Theatre

Jeff McLaughlin

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City's MFA Scenic Design program. He has worked with many theatres including the Mt. Washington Valley Theatre Company, Coterie Theatre, American Player's Theatre, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and New Stage Theatre. Jeff teaches courses in Scenic Design, Stage Lighting, Sound Design, Scenic Painting, Stagecraft, Principles and Elements of Design and Computer-aided Design.
